Design and realization of V/I and I/V symmetrical converters
Chrást, Jakub ; Koton, Jaroslav (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
Master´s thesis deals about design of symmetrical converters voltage on current and current on voltage. These converters will be used for measuring frequency characteristics of differential frequency filters. Current feedback amplifier was used as active element. Some circuits useful for this function were chosen. Various integrated circuits were put into these circuits. All variations were simulated in computer program Orcad. In terms of computer simulations the best variation was chosen. Selected variants were practically verified and control measuring were realized.

Determination of stress resultants in closed frames
Horák, Richard ; Horníková, Jana (referee) ; Vaverka, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the determination of the internal stress resultants (ISR) of planar beams with a closed centerline. The first part of the thesis presents a theoretical basis, which is then applied in the second part to solve three tasks. In the first task, the theory of symmetrical and antimetrical course of ISR is applied to reduce the degree of static indeterminacy of a symmetrical planar beam loaded by a symmetrical and antimetrical force system. In the second task the method of superposition is used to replace the general external load of the beam by symmetrical and antimetrical external loads. The task is further solved in the same way as in the case of the first task. The third task is solved by a general procedure with several options of released structures. Furthermore, the assumption enabling the solution of the stress energy due to the bending moment only is verified. At the end of the third task, the analytically determined values are compared with the values determined by the numerical method using the software ANSYS.
Roots of Moravian Urban Structure
Mohelník, Ladislav ; Löw, Jiří (referee) ; Prokeš, Oldřich (referee) ; Hrabec, Josef (referee) ; Koutný, Jan (advisor)
The thesis has been written on the basis of main architectural concepts and their application in real life within a historical context investigation. Main architectural concepts are represented in a harmony of architectural composition that deals with relations among form, structure and space in the unique art work. Genius loci play very important role in the architectural creation - it represents a special and extra-ordinary urban locality and its architectural value in the historical, geographical and cultural context. The origin of Ostravice village within the historical frame concept of Moravia domain is the topic of this thesis. Other historical documents gave information about Bruneswerde as the Brno Castle. That means Brno Castle had to be founded not in Brno (as it has been consid-ered for many years) but it was located in Beskydy at Ostravice. The sacred city – Civitas Dei had been located in Bruneswerde region in early ages as the centre of European culture, education and spiritual life. Civitas Dei – divine Jerusalem in the transcription of St. Augustine's book De civitate Dei – is not only glorification of God and religious fantasy. It is also one of significant clues for recognition of historical architecture. The depiction of unknown settlement from the book of unde-fined origin is a superb testimony about extinct architectural works. They are legible from cadastral maps. Brno Castle - residence of nobility and power served shelter to St. Vojtěch, St. Prokop, St. Václav and St. Ludmila as it is obvious for the mentioned picture. Three major temples, three com-position axes symbolized by three towers on coins are in analogical relation to Brno triangle of four saints - the Saint family of Brno temples. Powerful ambitions of Brno City principals and clergy are inscribed into the urban structure in the way of composition relations which are legible to them who devoted themselves to the mystery of harmony. The absence of historical continuity affects personal attitudes and also identity of the whole community. The architecture truly reflects the past state of polis and it is eloquent even after its death. The architectural composition relations influence the natural environment for long time, longer than the architectural work existence. The geometric order of Renaissance Brno existence has not been in attention of architects so far. The features were discovered in characteristic paintings by Albrecht Durer. They are evidently secret works of the genius. A meaningful collaborator and follower in the extensive project was also his friend Jan Čert from Brno and lately from Vienna. His noble genealogy played a significant role in history of Silesia and Moravia for centuries. It is tendency to consider him as Austrian or even German architect. It is because of the fact that the genealogy tree of his noble family had roots in Moravia. It is supposed that Durer with Jan Čert´s support created the extraordinarily monumental architectural and urban works in Brno. A remarkable consensus in the urban composition of two squares and transition of traditional urban structure of Ostravice Civitas Dei into the modern Brno is also confirmed due to the identification of noble creators and owners, who were at the foundation, transformation and extinction of elements of the Moravian urban structure.

The book Boční pohled na zatmění Slunce (Side View on Solar Eclipse) is an artistic attempt to articulate own creative methodology. Simple verbal declamations, quotations from books and conceptual sketches may be understood as a headword complement to my work of past few years. If the reader is, by any reason, unacquainted to that work, the book should work as an autonomous poetical unit.
Porovnání úrovně a vyváženosti vypsaných národních a mezinárodních drezurních úloh za použití měřícího zařízení Equimo tracker
Zourková, Barbora
This diploma thesis is entitled Comparison of the level and balance of the listed national and international dressage tests using the Equimo tracking device. Its goal was to get information about dressage tests. Their duration, distance, symmetry in each gait, and calories burned were observed. Twelve dressage tests were chosen from five levels of difficulty Z to T. Each test was registered three times. All testing was performed by one rider on one horse using the Equimo device. In general, it could be evaluated that, from the point of view of duration, distance, and calories burned, the degrees of difficulty Z and L were very similar, followed by S, ST, and T. The most extreme differences were found in the symmetry of the sides for the DU-A test and the duration of the Z4 test.
Geometric ornaments in Islamic art
SLABOVÁ, Štěpánka
This diploma thesis focuses on geometric ornaments in the Islamic art. I am focusing on the definition of the Islamic art and its evolution in the first part of this thesis. The reader is getting to know the basic techniques, motifs and elements used to create the geometric ornaments in the following chapters. I am also mentioning their possible division into groups according to the polygon which they are based on. The main part of the thesis focuses on a description of the process of creation of the Islamic geometric patterns. The end of the thesis focuses on usage of the topic during Mathematics at primary school and secondary school. The usage would be in a form of worksheets.
Transfer between mathematics and music in teaching mathematics
Kovačová, Petra ; Zamboj, Michal (advisor) ; Beran, Filip (referee)
Transfer between Mathematics and Music in Teaching Mathematics ABSTRACT The thesis targets the concept of learning transfer between mathematics and music and its usage in teaching mathematics in primary school. The aim of this thesis is to create interdisciplinary tasks for initiation of the learning transfer between mathematics and music, through an educational experiment identify whether the transfer occurs while solving them and determine its conditions. Another aim is to define the role of a teacher in this process. It focuses on the transfer between the area of grids, symmetry and melodies created by two tones. Moreover, it aims at fractions and creating tones by shortening a string. Educational areas Mathematics and its application and Music are described according to the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education alongside with the possibilities of their connecting through interdisciplinary relations, cross-sectional and integrated learning. The concept of learning transfer and its kinds is elaborated in the final chapter of the theoretical part. Mathematical and musical terms used in tasks of the second part of the thesis are explained there too. Within the practical part there were tasks for initiating and testing transfer created. They were used in the educational experiment in the 9th...
Spherically symmetric measures
Ranošová, Hedvika ; Nagy, Stanislav (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee)
A probability distribution is called spherically symmetric if it is invariant with respect to rotations about the origin. This class includes the multivariate standard normal distribution, a multivariate extension of the t-distribution and uniform distribu- tions inside the unit ball or the unit sphere surface. The first part of the thesis summarizes the basic properties of spherically symmetric distributions such as the form of their char- acteristic function and provides expressions for their moments and the density function. It turns out that spherically symmetric distributions are fully characterized by the dis- tribution of their Euclidean norm or by any of their univariate marginal distributions. As any marginal distribution of a spherically symmetric distribution is also spherically symmetric, the aim of the second part of this thesis is to study the inverse relationship using fractional calculus. For a given n-dimensional spherically symmetric distribution we solve the problem of deciding whether there is a spherically symmetric distribution in higher dimensions whose n-dimensional marginal is as given. 1
